Boko Haram, Militants and OPC Nigeria within the Next Three Years

Boko Haram, Militants and OPC

Nigeria within the Next Three Years

The beginning of Boko Haram was like a child's play and we didn't really know that it would get to such extent, not until Nigeria began to experience mass killings in different parts of the country.
I think this is a very important issue to look into.

A major work that I think will put the Government and the People of Nigeria on alert on the possible happenings.

The current threat to the Nigerian Society should be properly managed; otherwise we could experience what happened in Somalia.

Currently, the Nigerian Society is plagued by two strong militant groups while other groups exist and they posit very strong threats to the economy and sustainable of peace in the society. The Niger Delta Avengers and the Boko Harams are such powerful entities that have gained such international recognition.

One would ask why anyone would kill in the name of religion considering the fact that as a person, he was brought to this world by the act or acts of two living beings; a man and a woman.

The Nigeria Delta Avengers

According to its spokesperson, so-called Col Mudoch Agbinibo, “Our goal is to cripple Nigeria’s economy.”

According to CNBC; "The Niger Delta Avengers are in the business of destroying oil infrastructure — working in teams, carrying small arms and explosives, blowing up pipelines and sabotaging facilities — taking advantage of the Delta's complex, creek-filled terrain to stay one step ahead of the Nigerian soldiers chasing them.
They're driven by economic and environmental grievances, and until those issues are addressed, the Delta will remain in a cycle of sabotage, experts told CNBC. And Nigeria's oil output will remain under pressure.
'Very effective'

The Avengers claim on their website to be young, educated and well-traveled. They say they are better armed and more civilized than past militants. One thing's for sure: They are making an impact.
Nigerian Oil Minister Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu this week said the country's oil production has fallen by 800,000 barrels per day — to 1.4 million barrels per day — due to attacks on the nation's
infrastructure, local news reported, many or perhaps most of them at the hands of the Avengers.
"We don't see this being a huge group, but at the same time, they do seem very effective," said Matthew Bey, energy and technology analyst at geopolitical research firm Stratfor.

At this point, we really need to begin to look into the future, right?

What is expected of the Yoruba's OPC in oncoming dangerous events?

Will Tituba help position the wealth of the Yoruba. Will Obasanjo be active in the future?
Will Nigeria's existence persist and what would the possible last days of this Country be. Will Boko Haram strike Oyo State, Ogun State and Lagos very hard? What’s their mission?

Boko Haram

 Is Boko Haram spreading?
According to BBC, Boko Haram is trying to expand its activities beyond Nigeria's mainly Muslim north, to include the commercial capital Lagos, as well as other parts of the country, officials say.
Nigeria's intelligence agency says 12 members of the Islamist militant group have been arrested in Lagos since July.
It is not possible to independently verify details of the statement.

Boko Haram has waged a six-year insurgency in Nigeria, mainly in the north-east of the country.
According to Will Ross, BBC News, Lagos
For many in Lagos it will be alarming to hear that a dozen Boko Haram members have been arrested
here in recent weeks. I have often been told by Lagosian that the jihadist group would never dare attack this city, which seems more naive than reassuring, especially as there was an attempt to bomb a fuel depot last year.
The announcement from the secret police, known as the DSS, came just a day after another statement told us a teenager had been picked up inside Abuja airport where he was gathering intelligence for Boko Haram - another disturbing bit of news.
The DSS says the arrests have helped avert "devastating attacks" and that "notable commanders and frontline members" have been rounded up.

We have no way of independently verifying the information in the statements but it is worth noting that all the security departments are under pressure to demonstrate that they are having an impact against Boko Haram, especially as President Muhammadu Buhari has made tackling the jihadist insurgency a priority and is still making senior appointments.

Are these the times governors like Fayose who drastically fought against the invasion of the Fulani Herdsmen in Ekiti

THE EFFORTS OF THE OPC'S AGAINST INSURGENCY

As though, this is a child's play, one would first wonder what OPC was doing in the city of Lagos protesting against the dreaded Boko Haram Insurgents and the Militants. These pictures would actually keep you thinking if OPC was ready for this dreaded group indeed.

However, Adams told Saturday PUNCH that the OPC had heard of the intention of the Boko Haram to infiltrate Lagos a long time ago and that the group had been working underground to foil their attempts. He warned that if the terrorist sects progressed with such plans, it would spell doom for them. Adams said, “We will continue to make sure that the South-West is safe. We will not take any incursion or attempt to attack the region lightly. “We will defend our territory with the last blood in our veins. Boko Haram should stay away from Lagos in its own interest. We don’t believe that any religion should lead to a waste of innocent lives and property. “It will not work here. We also urge our people to be vigilant and report any suspicious movements to the police and other relevant authorities.”

The acts of the OPC are becoming very powerful and could actually be very dangerous for any group to put aside. According to davinadiaries;

Members of the Reformed O’Dea People’s Congress on Tuesday arrived Imushin community in Ogun State in their thousands, to fight suspected militants in the area.
They reportedly stormed the community from Lagos and Ogun state in more than 100 buses and cars. They matched around before they headed to greet the Olumushin of Imushin, Oba Taiwo Bamgbose.
According to a palace source, the OPC members did not carry any weapon; they were only armed with charms, which they claimed had powers.
He said, “They were over 5,000 and they filled the whole community. They carried all kinds of charms and a few of them even carried placards, protesting militant’s invasion of the South-West.
“They said they were ready to enter into the creeks to face the militants and kill them and all they needed was the permission of the traditional ruler. Some of them said they could transform to snakes and lions, once they get into the creeks.

“The traditional ruler, after thanking them for their concern, asked them to leave because he had not received authority from higher authorities to allow them to fight the militants. He urged them to get approval from the government before doing anything in the community.”
President of the OPC group, Dare Adesope, confirmed the visit on the telephone, saying that their presence in the community would assure residents of their security and curb insurgency in the area.
He said: “On July 19, we issued a 14-day ultimatum to the militants to end their activities in the South-West and we said if they didn’t leave, we will challenge them and defend our people. That ultimatum elapsed yesterday (Monday).
“The recent military action against the militants might have been influenced by our ultimatum, because prior to the release, the Federal Government didn’t do anything.
“We decided to go to the community in 107 buses and some cars, to show that the Reformed OPC is still on the ground and our aim is to protect the lives and property of everyone that is residing within our area of jurisdiction.
“Our silence all this while is not an act of cowardice. It is because we believe in dialogue before action. It is wrong for anyone to be kidnapping, raping, robbing and killing our people.
“We say no to that and we don’t want anything like that again in Yoruba land. After today, if we hear anything again in the area, we know what to do.”
In the event, one will conclude that the OPC would not be in need of much weaponry to destabilize the invasion of aliens as they seems to possess such diabolical powers that could actually destroy more than the use of weapons
